About Freedom's Realm Studios

Freedom's Realm Studios is owned and operated by Alice Langlois, artist, photographer, cinematographer. A resident of Dawson Creek for the past nine years, I have fallen in love with this area and the independent spirit of the people who live here. When I am not filming, photographing still images or painting something, I love to go on long walks that last for at least one day. An intensely curious and creative person, I am always striving to push the limits of my craft so I can tell the story truthfully, tastefully, and in a fun way. As one of the few female family and event film makers I bring a female perspective on stories and events and many times I am able to go into places that my male counterparts would be banned from. Events like bridal preparation or baby arrivals are much more relaxing events when shared among women, although I have had my fair share of mud splattered on my face from filming more rugged events like the Bonanza Fair Mudd Bogg. 

Freedom's Realm Studios could not do the multi camera work that we do without the skills of our second shooter - Bert Goulet. Bert brings with him many many years behind the lens, shooting interviews and stories for television broadcast. Not only is he amazing behind the videocamera, but he also runs his own studio (Solar Peace Productions) where he is a music producer for local talent, writes soundtracks for documentaries and is always up to something interesting.
